'Law & Order' Spinoff Writer Fired Over Threatening Comments Pertaining to Protests

Craig Gore, a writer whose work has included “S.W.A.T.” and “Chicago P.D.,” has been fired from the upcoming Law & Order spinoff for comments he made surrounding the protests.

Social media users noticed he posted that he was going to “light motherf—ers up who are trying to f— with my property” amid the protests in Los Angeles (and across the country) resulting from the death of George Floyd and Black Lives Matter. “I will not tolerate this conduct, especially during our hour of national grief.

I am terminating Craig Gore immediately,” Dick Wolf said in a statement to Variety. It looks like Gore wrote these comments on Monday (June 1) and was terminated shortly after it was brought to executive’s attention.
