Laura Whitmore breaks silence as Maya Jama revealed as new host of Love Island

LAURA Whitmore has congratulated Maya Jama after she was announced her replacement as Love Island host. Earlier today ITV confirmed The Sun's story that Maya, 28, will present the next series of the ITV2 dating show.

And Laura, 37, was quick to congratulate Maya, commenting on her post sharing the exciting news. She wrote: "Yes girl!! So delighted for you!

You're gonna be fab❤️xx." It comes after Laura quit in August having replaced the late Caroline Flack in 2020. She said she found elements of the production “very difficult” when she revealed she was leaving.
