Maya Jama shocked fans over the weekend after showcasing her mum on her Instagram, who fans say looks more like her sister. The presenter, who this week scored a gig to become Love Island’s newest host following Laura Whitmore’s exit, was as smiley as ever as she lounged at home. The 28 year old TV presenter was makeup free as she posed in a white top that seemingly matched her mum’s all-white tracksuit. "Mum's in town,” Maya said as she showed off her mum, Sadie. "Yeah you look cute, this is a video,” Maya added in another video.

This isn’t the first time Maya has introduced her mum to her 2.4m Instagram followers, having just last year shown Sadie on set with her while filming with internet personality Chunkz. “Mum’s here,” she told followers.

On All Round To Mrs Brown’s Boys, Maya was again joined by her mum and admitted that previous boyfriends were always interested in her mum. "All my boyfriends and friends that were guys fancied her,” she said, also admitting that they often get mistaken as sisters.

This week, it was announced that Maya would take over as Love Island’s host. Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Programming & Acquisitions and Controller, said: “Finding a new host to follow the wonderful Laura Whitmore was never going to be easy. "In Maya Jama though, we have another high profile fan of the show who’ll be a great addition to the Love Island family.
