Bird's eye views of the Grand Hall and Palace Theatre from the building are no more, along with views of King Street, the town's viaduct and the brand new Ayrshire College.
The all-day car parking facility will be demolished after a chunk of concrete fell from the structure through an office roof during an incident last year.Councillors heard it missed three workers who were in the office at the time.And it was decided at a council meeting last week that the multi-storey will close on the grounds of health and safety.
