The photo was taken, according to activist Peter Staley who shared it (with Webster’s permission) during Kramer’s most recent hospitalization at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Kramer died from complications of pneumonia on Wednesday, May 28, after appearing to have recovered from a fall and broken leg injury he sustained while alone at home.
