Lando Norris has landed a new partnership with PlayStation, with the McLaren Formula One driver officially announced as the lastest “PlayStation Playmaker.” The F1 star unveiled the partnership in a new video posted to social media this week, noting that PlayStation has been “a part of my life for as long as I can remember.” “As much as I use PlayStation to help me develop and be a better driver, I also use it to relax and chill out,” he adds.PlayStation has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so it’s awesome to say I’m now @PlayStation's latest #PlayStationPlaymaker #ad pic.twitter.com/zfpEy2iLUR In the clip, Norris recalls first picking up the gaming console as a child, when his father introduced him to Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 2.
Recalling days spent competing with his dad and brother on the racing simulation game, Norris says the game — and console — “pretty much kickstarted my career,” adding that he used Gran Turismo to learn the tips and tricks of “race craft.” “It’s crazy to think that I went from racing laps on my PlayStation as a kid,” Norris adds, “to being one of the 20 Formula One drivers pushing the limits on the track.” The latest PlayStation deal gets you the PS5 console with a digital voucher for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
This set comes with 1TB of SSD storage built-in, and the bundle also includes a DualSense Wireless Controller, a horizontal stand, HDMI Cable, AC power cord, USB cable, and Astro’s Playroom pre-installed.
