Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Lance Frank has been named to oversee internal and external communications for the news, stations and syndication unit of Paramount Global’s CBS “In this new role, Lance will oversee all internal and external communications for CBS News, CBS Stations, syndication, talent, programming, first-run syndication and division strategy,” said Wendy McMahon, president and CEO of the division, in a memo to employees Thursday.
Frank will report to both McMahon and Chris Ender, executive vice president of communications for CBS Frank was promoted to executive vice president of communications for the unit in January, given oversight of strategic communications for McMahon’s executive team, syndication, primetime newsmagazines, talent relations and events.
He will now have sole oversight of all external/internal communications and program publicity across national news, local stations and CBS’ first-run syndication business.
Frank joined CBS News in 2011. He was the first person hired as a CBS News associate, a program for young journalists to hone their skills and gain valuable experience at different units across CBS News.
