Lanarkshire motorists warned of M8 junction closures and temporary traffic lights

Lanarkshire motorists have been notified of overnight closures at one junction of the M8 motorway and temporary traffic lights for five weeks on a Shotts bridge.BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is planning to carry out refurbishment works on the B7057 bridge that carries M8 Junction 5 eastbound off-slip and on-slip over the motorway near Shotts.To allow resurfacing works to be carried out safely, the B7057 bridge in Shottskirk Road will be closed to all traffic between 8pm and 6am on the nights of Sunday, September 18, Wednesday, October 5, and Friday, October 21.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
