An ambulance service chief who has been instrumental in some of the country's biggest incidents and even held hostage has been recognised in the Queen's New Year Honours' list.
Patrick O’Meara, from East Kilbride, was awarded the Queen’s Ambulance Medal (QAM). The prestigious honour acknowledges ambulance personnel who have shown exceptional devotion to duty, merit and conduct.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
