The nation's new monarch, King Charles III, expressed his love for his son Harry and his daughter-in-law Meghan in his first TV speech as sovereign.

During his address to the country, televised and broadcast to a service of prayer and reflection in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles paid tribute to his mother, before outlining some changes to his family following the Queen's death.

He stated he will count on the "loving help" of his "darling wife" Camilla, who now becomes his Queen Consort, and be passing on the title of Prince of Wales and Duke of Cornwall to his son, Prince William, who will also assume the Scottish titles which Charles has held.
