KIA is continuing to upgrade its smaller models and is to release a new version of the Picanto city car later in the year.The Korean car maker’s new model is slated to arrive in the UK in the fourth quarter of 2020 – a few weeks after an updated version of the larger Rio supermini comes on stream.
Like the Rio, the latest Picanto will feature changes to its looks, improved engines and more technology that brings “big” car features to smaller models.It also marks the launch of a new semi-automatic five-speed transmission and more efficient 1.0-litre Smartstream petrol engines – one turbocharged to develop 100PS and the other naturally aspirated with 67PS available.Kia says both new engines will offer reduced emissions and greater economy
