Nicola Sturgeon announced the latest series of lockdown easing at a press conference earlier today. The First Minister revealed that the majority of school pupils will return to places of education after the Easter holiday period.
Children that are in the shielding category will continue to receive education from home until the final week of this month.
The move comes just a day after a number of restrictions were eased across the country - including the reopening on hairdressers and garden centres.
Sturgeon said that the number of coronavirus cases has plummeted by 80% since early January, while hospital admissions and deaths from the virus have also fallen significantly.
