The Good Morning Britain presenter's beloved spouse has been in hospital battling Covid-19 since March last year. While Derek, 53, no longer has Covid, the disease has left him suffering from a range of health problems including diabetes and holes in his heart and lungs and he still hasn't fully regained consciousness.
The last year has been tough for Kate, also 53, and the couple's two children Darcey, 14 and William, 11, but the TV star has now revealed how her time on I'm a Celebrity prepared her for the events of the last year in some ways.
