The 53-year-old was rushed to hospital on March 29 after his health rapidly deteriorated due to Covid-19. Good Morning Britain star Kate, also 53, has now revealed how her spouse has lost a huge amount of weight after being in a medically-induced coma for almost six months.
Speaking to YOU Magazine, Kate recalled the first time she got to see him on a FaceTime call as he lay unconscious in his hospital bed.
She said: "When I finally got to FaceTime him, seeing him unconscious was a big shock. He’s lost nearly eight stone in weight, a lot of it muscle throughout his body.
