KATE Garraway was moved to tears by her co-host Ben Shephard's emotional poem after he revealed he's taking time off Good Morning Britain.

The 53-year-old wrapped herself in a blanket covered in pictures of Ben, which was featured on Coronation Street, before listening to an old poem Ben had written for a competition called For As Long As I Can Remember.

Playing out a clip of Ben reading the poem, an extract reads: "For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to go on a date. "I wanted to hold a hand, maybe share a kiss, to not just be her mate. "For as long as I can remember, I wanted to pass my exams. "To get the studying done and start making plans.
