The 53-year-old presenter has been giving weekly updates on Derek's condition since returning to GMB a few weeks ago after taking an extended break since March, when he was rushed into intensive care.
It has been a tough few months for Kate and her kids, Darcey, 14, and William, 11, as Derek fights for his life. On Monday's GMB, Kate told viewers: "He's very much still with us but there seems to be different challenges every week."
