Derek was admitted to intensive care last month, where he is still battling the coronavirus.Ben gave the ITV show’s viewers an insight into his co-star’s heartbreaking family situation today while speaking to a school teacher who has beaten the virus via a video call.The television personality said of Kate: "Staff are taking a phone in the evenings and she can talk to her husband.”However, Ben explained Kate has “no idea” if her husband can hear her during the calls.He continued: “She has no idea if he is responding, but she hopes that he is.
