Just 177 people can afford Man Utd as Glazers finally name price they would consider

Manchester United after the Glazers finally named their asking price. There have been growing calls from fans for the owners to part ways with the clubs, with the Glazers reportedly prepared to sell part of their shares in United.

Daily Star Sportexclusively revealed on Wednesday that the Glazer family would only consider selling the club if they received a bid in excess of $10billion (£9.1bn).Such a deal would make the Red Devils the most valuable sports team in the world, surpassing the Dallas Cowboys NFL franchise, who are valued at $8billion (£7.2bn).READ MORE: Glazers name their price which would make Man Utd most valuable sports team in worldHowever, the Glazers' valuation is unlikely to be met, with only 177 people in the world having a net worth greater than their asking price, according to Forbes' real-time list of billionaires.That number is then reduced even further with owners of Premier League clubs unable to purchase United, removing Shahid Khan and Stan Kroenke, who own Fulham and Arsenal respectively, from the conversation.Russian ownership is also currently prohibited due to restrictions put in place by the government following the invasion of Ukraine earlier this year.
