Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has compared Mohamed Salah to Robert Lewandowski in what appears to be a hint of his tactical plans for the Egyptian.
Klopp explained how Salah had developed into a ‘goalscoring machine’ as an acknowledgement of his ‘massive development’ and compared him to the Bayern Munich striker.
Salah celebrates his 29 th birthday next month and has increasingly been on a transformation from a wide forward into a central striker, with his improved instincts inside the penalty area.
With the return of Harvey Elliott from his loan spell at Blackburn Rovers likely to prompt a further alteration in the Reds attack, this could accelerate the move for Salah to be deployed more centrally.
