Jurgen Klopp read out a heartfelt letter to his Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson on BBC's Sports Personality of the Year on Sunday evening.
The England midfielder was nominated for the top award after guiding the Reds to Premier League glory last season. After lifting the Champions League trophy the season before Henderson helped Liverpool end a 30-year wait for a domestic league title in 2020.
Henderson played 30 of the 38 league games last season and is now being recognised for his efforts. Klopp revealed Henderson had written a personal letter to every Liverpool player after the triumph and that now it is his turn.
