Jurgen Klopp has explained why the referee for Liverpool’s Champions League loss to Atalanta “more difficult”. The Premier League champions suffered a disastrous four minutes at Anfield, conceding a 2-0 defeat to the Italian side.
After being pressured throughout the first half, goals from Josip Ilicic and Robin Gosens in the second half gave Atalanta a boost in their hopes of reaching the round-of-16.It saw Klopp take aim at match official Carlos del Cerro Grande and his team for their lack of calls during the Champions League clash.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Klopp said: “It was not a good game. From both teams, didn't create a lot, until they scored the goals. “A deserved defeat in a difficult game.
