Jurgen Klopp insists Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona was sanctioned, six months after he made clear his desire to move to Catalunya, to be "fair" to the player.
Coutinho left the Reds for Barcelona in January 2018 in a mega-money move, sealing his dream switch to Camp Nou. But that dream has since turned into a nightmare.
Barca will look to sell the Brazilian when the transfer window next opens, and continue to desire a transfer fee in excess of £100million.
Liverpool have continued to be linked with their former charge, however a return to Anfield won’t be happening, with club chiefs telling the player’s advisors that they have zero interest in re-signing the Brazilian.
