John Barnes has warned Liverpool about making a "knee-jerk" reaction to their injury crisis in defence and urged his old club to just "deal with it".
The Reds have lost both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term injuries which will put their preferred centre-back pairing out for much of the season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is also currently ruled out for a few more weeks, while Fabinho is still recovering from the hamstring problem which has sidelined him since the end of October.
