Fans of competitive eater Joey Chestnut are concerned for him after a new report was released about the effect that hot dogs can have on your life.
Since his debut in 2005, the 37-year-old Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest winner has reportedly eaten a combined 1,094 hot dogs during the annual contests. Click inside to find out what was learned about hot dogs… A new report claims that eating a beef hot dog on a bun will shorten your life by 36 minutes, according to the New York Post.
The report says that the minutes lost are “largely due to the detrimental effect of processed meat.” Those 1,094 hot dogs that Chestnut has eaten during the annual contests amounts to 39,384 minutes lost from his life.
