metro.co.ukJK Rowling has hit out at Dominic Cummings amid his lockdown scandal, which saw him drive 250 miles from London to Durham despite strict travel measures being imposed on the UK.
He was spotted at his parents’ house in County Durham at the beginning of April, before lockdown restrictions were eased slightly.
A statement from 10 Downing Street said that Mr Cummings had driven to his parents’ house to ensure his child could be taken care of, since his wife was suffering from coronavirus symptoms and he feared he would also contract it.
