Jimmy Carr has broken his silence on the backlash received from his latest Netflix special and said he's prepared to "go down swinging" while performing at his Terribly Funny Show on Saturday night. The 49-year-old, who recently sparked outrage over his controversial comments on the Holocaust confessed that his career may be over but he will still go out all guns blazing.During Jimmy's contentious Netflix show, His Dark Material, the comic suggested the mass murder of "thousands" of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people was "positive" during the Nazi regime. But despite the public outcry, Jimmy still went ahead with his ongoing comedy tour and told an audience on Saturday that they were speaking "in the last chance saloon", according to The Mirror.Opening the show, the star made comments on the non-binary community and how he could cause offence in his intro. He said: "Good evening ladies and gentlemen.

Look at that, I've already upset the non-binary community."That has to be a f***ing record."He later added: "We are speaking my friends in the last chance saloon."What I am saying on stage this evening is barely acceptable now.

In ten years f***ing forget about it."The comedian then quipped that his audience will be able to tell their grandchildren about the experience in many years to come.He continued: "You will say I saw a man and he stood on a stage and he made light of serious issues."We used to call them jokes and people would laugh."Carr then joked: "There's a rare psychological disorder that causes people to tell inappropriate jokes."I know I have got it.
