“Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons revealed that he was almost on another beloved sitcom before landing his famous role as Sheldon Cooper.

The 47-year-old actor appeared at a panel for the upcoming Fox sitcom he executive produces, “Call Me Kat.” During the discussion, he revealed that he once went in to audition for an unspecified role on NBC’s mega-hit “The Office.” For those unfamiliar, “The Office” is actually a remake of a popular British TV series created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

During the discussion, Parsons confessed that he didn’t have high hopes for the show when he auditioned. “I was like ‘how stupid, it’s about an office.
