Budget airline Jet2 is to axe more than 100 pilots across its UK bases, as coronavirus continues to hit the ailing aviation sector.

The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA), which represents the pilots, said 102 jobs are expected to be lost. The airline is axing jobs across most of its crew bases at Belfast International, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham.
