Jet2 has issued a travel warning to Brits flying to Alicante in the coming days. Passengers have been told that industrial strike action “will affect congestion at Security Control” at the Spanish Airport.

Holidaymakers are told to allow “extra time” to pass through security. But the airline has assured those on package holidays with Jet2holidays that their transfers have been arranged to allow enough time to pass through security.

The strike action began on Wednesday July 31 and will continue to Sunday August 4. It will be in effect from 8.30am to 9.30am and from 6pm to 7pm (local time).
