Jet2 has announced plans to make more than 100 pilots redundant. Bosses at the airline said they are 'greatly distressed' and 'deeply regret' the cuts, but that they are caused 'entirely by the current situation'.
Jet2 will make 102 pilots redundant across most of its bases, including at Manchester Airport. The airline also has bases at Leeds-Bradford, Belfast–International, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London–Stansted, Newcastle and Birmingham.A Jet2 spokesperson said: "We are greatly distressed and deeply regret these redundancies that are entirely caused by the current situation".
