Jeremy Clarkson, 62, has insisted today’s “useless youth” pose “the biggest problem of them all”, despite worries about Russia’s war with Ukraine and Vladimir Putin’s plans for Eastern Europe, plus Brexit, and the energy crisis facing Britons this winter. The former Top Gear presenter lashed out at the younger generation in his latest column, claiming “today’s teenagers are far more hopeless than anything humanity has ever produced before”.Jeremy fumed at young people for being intolerant to certain food groups, “deciding what sex they’d like to be”, and for perpetuating cancel culture.

The opinionated TV personality went on to suggest that the coronavirus pandemic has made the behaviour of the youth even worse.Jeremy explained his point in The Sunday Times, adding the pandemic: “Taught them they could get an A* in all their A-levels without doing any revision. “And that you don’t need A-levels anyway because the government will use its magic money to pay your wages and your restaurant bills, even when you’re not doing a job.”It comes as this year’s A-level students’ results have taken a hit after grades were teacher-assessed during the pandemic, in the absence of exams. The results have also sparked concern amongst school leaders that disadvantaged pupils have been impacted most severely from the lockdowns and poor access to IT while working from home.Despite these widespread fears about inequality, Jeremy concluded: “I fear this lot are so shot through with arrogance and entitlement, and so clueless about how the world works, they’re going to be hopeless for life.“Which is a worry, because when we are old, they’ll be the ones in charge.  “Which means we’ll be going to bed every night in our looted houses, with some warm.
