Jay Slater's friend who he travelled to Tenerife with has paid a heartbreaking tribute to his friend after a body was tragically uncovered in search for the missing teen.On Monday, July 15 - four weeks since the teen disappeared - Spanish police confirmed human remains had been found in the Masca area close to where 19-year-old Jay vanished, reports Manchester Evening News.The Civil Guard said 'everything is pointing to the body being that' of Jay.It's believed he 'may have suffered an accident or fall in the area'.

The body has not been formally identified yet.Jay's close friend Brad Hargreaves who he partied at the NRG festival in Tenerife just before his disappearance has paid a poignant tribute on Instagram following the tragic news.He penned: "No words.

He also posted a public story with another picture of the two of them along with broken heart emojis.Jay's disappearance, which sparked various conspiracy theories online from trolls, resulted in a huge search and rescue operation that lasted almost two weeks.Spanish police scoured the mountainous area around the Rural de Teno national park in Masca, close to where he vanished on June 17.In the wake of the discovery, British overseas missing persons charity LBT Global has issued a statement.

The charity said it is supporting Jay's devastated family and that the teenager's possessions and clothes were 'found with the body'.In full, the statement from LBT Global said: "LBT Global is saddened to announce that a body found in Tenerife does look to be that of Jay Slater.
