Jay Slater's best friend has revealed the details of his final video call with the missing teen and said he was "praying he comes home every night".

Speaking with permission and support from Jay's mum Debbie Duncan, teenager Brad spoke to the show's Isla Traquair about Jay's "zest for life", as well as giving details their final call together - which he says revealed Jay had walked off the main road and onto rough terrain.

On today's show (Friday, 28 June) Isla said she'd been spending time with Jay's "tight knit" family who had flown to Tenerife and were desperately hoping for a positive outcome, despite Oswaldtwistle-born Jay now missing for 14 days. "We're at that point in the investigation where it's accepted if Jay was out here, if he got stuck in this terrain, the likelihood is they are looking for a body," Isla told viewers. "However his family and friends are desperately trying to hang on to any alternative that would mean he's still alive, no matter how unpalatable the idea of an abduction might be.

I've spent time with his family, they are tight knit, and they are desperately trying to navigate this." She then went on to speak to Brad, who was staying with the apprentice bricklayer outside Playa de las Americas to attend a music festival, who said his missing pal "lived life to the fullest".
