Jay Slater's mum has released a heartbreaking statement as it approaches a month since her son vanished in Tenerife.Jay, 19, has been missing on the Canary Island since June 17.
Local police halted their search for the teenager, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, on June 30. Since then, the family has been attempting to look further afield for help in finding Jay.
He partied at a nightclub in the south of the island before leaving with two men and staying with them at an Airbnb in Masca.He left the accommodation and after missing a bus told a friend that he was going to try and walk back to where he had been staying in the south - a trek that would take about 11 hours - before his battery went dead.
Nothing has been seen or heard of him since, the Mirror reports.On Sunday, almost four weeks since Jay's disappearance, his mum, Debbie Duncan, said: "As we approach four weeks of our beautiful Jay's disappearance, we cannot put into words the heartache we are suffering as a family.
