Grand Tour star James May says Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond are so out of date they are ready for the scrapheap. Ahead of a new series of their Amazon show May mocked his fellow car nuts, who he has worked with since Top Gear.

The 58-year-old said: “It’s not difficult to be modern when with those two, because they are quite tweedy and entrenched.
