The ITV soap aired a special episode that showed viewers where April had ended up in a flashback style piece. It was revealed that April had fallen pregnant and fled the village after worrying that it would add further upset to her already strained family dynamic.
Fans saw the teenager battle with some difficult truths in recent weeks after she found out how her mother Donna Windsor really died, and that Marlon Dingle had hidden it from her.
April first hitchhiked to a hotel in Leeds and tried to contact friends to ask if she could stay with them. Unfortunately, no one offered to help and she soon found herself sleeping rough as she ran out of money.
