A mum-of-two fleeced a charity-run pre-school out of at least £28,000 in a long-running scam which left bosses unsure they could keep the doors open.
Volunteer treasurer Gemma Waterhouse left the trustees and staff at Leven Pre-School, near Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire, feeling "very angry, betrayed and deceived".
The callous fraud she committed, which left a bank deposit account with a balance of just 58p, caused serious damage to its reputation, and even affected its Ofsted rating.
