Iran’s coronavirus death toll has exceeded over 500 as the outbreak is now out of control, insiders have claimed. Opposition groups have claimed the amount of people killed by the virus in Iran is being covered up .
The Islamic republic has become the epicentre of the outbreak in the Middle East. Iranian officials have claimed the death toll hit 54 today – and even that makes it the second highest outside of China.
But insiders have claimed the death toll is actually almost ten times higher – breaking the 500 mark. And a selection of high profile officials have struck down by the virus, with some even being close advisors of the Ayatollah, 80.
