Ashley Banjo is leader of the dance troupe Diversity, who found fame after winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.The 6 foot 4 inch star, recently returned to the hit ITV talent show as a guest judge and also took to the stage to perform an emotional and brilliantly choreographed Black Lives Matter-inspired performance.
During the semi-final on 5 September the dancer and his street dance group showcased a routine which served as a commentary on both the coronavirus pandemic and the racial injustices that have been brought into the spotlight after the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, in America.
