Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday (September 20) that 25-year-old Yasin told members of the public he 'didn't see' Mr Welsby after driving straight into him without braking.
Mr Welsby, 26, was rushed to hospital with 'catastrophic' head injuries following the crash on Boxing Day 2020. He died six days later on New Year's Eve.
On the same day, Yasin was pulled over by police for further motoring offences, the Liverpool Echo reports.
