Hundreds of families have been left without any water supply after a pipe burst on the Isle of Skye.Around 200 properties have been affected in Harrapool, on the Isle of Skye, since the pipe reportedly burst on Saturday.Scottish Water has been working to fix the issue and has reduced household impacted to around 40 which are all in the area of Harrapool. The water supplier anticipates the repair being completed early Monday afternoon and customers will come into supply as the network recharges.Customers have been warned that while repairing the supply the water could be discoloured, have low pressure or have no water supply at all.A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: "We are currently repairing a burst water pipe outside the Hebridean Hotel in IV49 Broadford, which is causing the interruption to the water supply for customers in IV42 Breakish. "Our teams worked to try and complete the repair overnight, however after digging down onto the burst, we identified that the fault was located further towards the centre of the A87 roadway and that traffic management would be required. "Traffic management has now been set-up to ensure the safety of the public and our teams during the repair.

2-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation on the A87 for the duration of the repair and subsequent reinstatement."
