According to QUT retail expert Professor Gary Mortimer if shoppers are more aware, they can save themselves hundred of dollars. “Their promotion and pricing strategy, their range and their layout is designed to get you to spend a little more every time you shop,” he told 7 News.
Stores usually place everyday necessities like bread and milk at the back of the store forcing you to walk past other products and weekly specials to get to them.
