Hospitals told 'Covid-19 vaccine may be ready in weeks' with care homes first in line

Hospitals have been told to get ready for a Covid-19 vaccine before the end of this month. After rumours vaccines could be ready within weeks, it is thought the NHS may be able to give coronavirus jabs to the most vulnerable people in society before Christmas.

The Head of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Jon Findlay is believed to have said in a meeting with senior managers and executives today that the vaccine could be ready in as little as three weeks time.

The jabs, it is believed, would first be given to people living in care homes, people over the age of 80 and health workers on the frontline, The Sun reports.
