The shock death of a 'happy, healthy and loved' 11-year-old boy found unresponsive at his family home was a 'tragic accident', a coroner has ruled.
Milan Maddineni was discovered in the bathroom of the property by his mum after she called him for his tea and he didn't respond, an inquest into his death heard.
His mother began CPR and resuscitation attempts were continued by police and paramedics who attended the scene before he was taken to Stockport's Stepping Hill Hospital. The hearing was told his medical cause of death was asphyxia caused by airway compression. DI Charlotte Whalley, the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) detective who carried out a 'thorough' investigation into the tragedy, said she had ruled out any suspicious circumstances or third-party involvement.
