A teenage girl has died after a van left a major slip road before crashing into a metal barrier. Bonny Rae Barrow was rushed to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital after being left with serious injuries following the crash.
The 15-year-old was later transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital, where she tragically died. Officers were called out following the collision just after 7pm last Friday (July 7).
A Mercedes Sprinter van had left the carriageway of the A56 slip road which leads on to the A679 Burnley Road, in east Lancashire.
