Hollyoaks star Lysette Anthony has left some of the soap's former stars fuming over her response to the race row. Former star Charlie Clapham publicly called Lysette out by sharing WhatsApp messages in which she appeared to suggest she was more concerned about whether or not she'd have a job to go back to if the discussion continued.
It comes after Rachel Adedeji sensationally quit the Channel 4 soap, claiming she had suffered unfair treatment as a black person on the set.
Several other stars came out in support of her, including Amanda Clapham, who played Holly Cunningham from 2013 to 2019, and Charlie, who starred as Freddie Roscoe from 2013 to 2017.
