Holidaymakers will be told they cannot visit countries such as the US and Greece without having to quarantine.However, people arriving in England from more than 50 other destinations such as France, Spain, Germany and Italy will no longer need to quarantine, the Department for Transport has confirmed.Asked by the BBC on Friday whether the United States would be on a 'red-list' of countries to which a 14-day quarantine period will apply, Mr Shapps said: "I'm afraid it will be."He also said that the 'safe' countries would have "reciprocal arrangements" in place, meaning travellers from the UK will not have to quarantine on arrival to their destination.The new measures are expected to come into force from July 10 and will see travellers bypass.
