But he didn't realise the creature was wrapped in the fishing equipment until he got home and started editing the unsettling pictures.

A discarded fishing line can be seen wrapped around its body, with hooks close to its face.The man, who did not want to be named, usually photographs landscapes and said he's never seen anything like it before.He now hopes animal welfare officers will be able to track down the creature and free it from the dangerous equipment.He said: "You can't get too close to seals and it was only when I was going through my photos that I noticed this poor.
