Police on Thursday morning confirmed that they responded to reports of a ' disturbance ' and 'gun shots being fired' in Gateside Road at around 8.30pm.
Video footage show a police helicopter hovering over the residential area as locals saw 'armed officers' patrolling the scene on the ground.One witness spoke of the huge emergency response that quickly unfolded as locals speculated that shots were being fired near where children were playing.They told the Record: "There were police, one patrol car at the bridge area."Then at there were at least three BMW X5s with either riot or armed.
