The recent sunny spell in Greater Manchester has been brought to an abrupt end with rain arriving today. Over the last week the region has been enjoying temperatures above 20C, clear blue skies and wall-to-wall sunshine.

Forecasters have said to expect highs of around 16C. Overnight it will be largely dry, although there could be an odd shower.
